There is some good news and bad news, but overall the mission remains optimistic. The most important news is that Gwen Stefani listening over the last 9 days has increased around 7.5% globally. This is absolutely incredible news, as bringing in more Stefaniheads is a solid portion of our guiding mission. Seeing as this has happened directly following our previous discussion I will assume this impact is more or less directly related to our campaign, and I commend each of your efforts towards seeing this resurgence and growth for an artist we all hold dear.
While the listeners we have recruited have begun to explore some of her other fantastic work, an extremely positive note is that daily listening of What You Waiting For? has risen by 10.63% from 8/8 to 8/17. This puts it as the second fastest rising song behind Rich Girl, which has seen an astounding 17.93% growth in daily listens. I would like to remind you all as liaisons to the general public, that while Gwen Stefani has a rich catalog of incredible work, the song we are trying to push to the top is What You Waiting For?, not Rich Girl. I am estatic to see the growth we’ve seen, and would simply urge all of us to work on repeating What You Waiting For? with a slightly higher frequency in order to not help the growth of the very songs we are looking to overtake. For example, even with this great growth and a mild increase in listening of the top spot Sweet Escape of a mere 3.63%, we have fallen about 0.024% further behind it in streams. This may sound like a small amount, but amounts to some 5,160,400 streams we are now further in the hole. I do not wish for this information to dampen the spirit of anyone whose light is shining at it’s brightest after listening to a few hundred hours of Gwen this last week, merely to highlight the incredible amount of work that is still out there waiting for us.
I do cherish the work you all have put into this over the last week, and truly am blown away by the incredible increase in Stefaniheads we are seeing flock towards this movement. This shows that what we are doing is having a real impact, and I have no doubts that if we continue to refine our messaging and discipline of our following base, we will absolutely achieve incredible things in pushing this movement well beyond our wildest dreams. So seeing the amazing progress we’ve already made, and seeing the very long journey ahead of us, I will leave you with one simple question. What you waiting for?
