PRESS RELEASE
Dade County Kingslayers Football Club
Date: September 26, 2025
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
To the loyal Kingslayer Nation:
I won’t sugarcoat this. The 2025 fantasy football season has not begun as we envisioned. After three weeks of play, your Kingslayers sit at 0–3, a record that does not reflect the heart, grit, and raw firepower this roster carries.
We acknowledge the frustrations. In Week 1, Jalen Hurts posted just 170 passing yards with one interception, while our ground game sputtered as Saquon Barkley was bottled up for just 46 rushing yards against a stacked front. Week 2 saw AJ Brown manage only 4 catches for 49 yards, while the Eagles defense failed to produce a single turnover, giving us little chance to keep pace. Then in Week 3, Devonta Smith’s quiet line of 2 receptions for 19 yards left us searching for answers. We probably should have picked players from another team at some point.
The execution has been below our standard. The Kingslayers’ motto has always been to dethrone giants, patent prosecutors, and fans of teams that have not beaten their college rivals in 2127 days. Yet in these opening battles, we’ve looked more like pawns than kings.
But the season is not lost. Not even close.
This is not the end of a story. This is the tension before the plot turns. That moment in a romantic comedy between acts 2 and 3 when the love interest realizes they were part of a bet to take the ugly girl to prom. But true love will blossom, and you will be talking about the 10 Things You Love About Dade County. At 0–3, we see only opportunity — an opportunity to rally, to adjust, and to storm back into contention. Kingslayer Nation, hold the line. Our climb begins now.
We vow to fight for every yard, every point, and every fan who believes in us. By season’s end, 0–3 will be remembered not as the start of our downfall, but as the beginning of our legendary comeback.
The Throne Will Be Taken.
